Project MAKTAB-SCHOOL

We have adopted this Maktab School in Shah Jamal, Muzaffargarh, in the same area that the housing project (Project Shifa) was completed. The children were sitting on the floor on Mats.

25 desks and benches have already been provided to the school on April 28, 2012. This is the first step in improving the school, a small step for us but a big leap for the children. 

The last site was on October 3, 2012. Desks and benches that were provided through the Foundation funding are there and being used by the students. None of the children are sitting on the floor anymore. This is a great boost to the morale of the kids. 

We brought books donated by the South County Montessori School to the school, and it will be added to their library. Sports equipment (cricket and soccer) was distributed to the students to be used in the school by all the students.

Five students were without uniform. The needed uniforms were purchased on that day and given to the students. 

Money was provided for the school to be whitewashed and repainted, as it is in dire need to fresh coat of paint.
